London Trusted Therapy Announces Partnership with William Morris Sixth Form

London Trusted Therapy Partners with William Morris Sixth Form Five people sit in a circle in a cosy, well-lit room at the Therapy Talent Hub, engaged in conversation. There is a plant on the glass coffee table between them, and everyone looks relaxed and attentive.

Access. Belonging. A complete circle of care.

London Trusted Therapy operates from one of the most prestigious medical addresses in the world — Harley Street, at the heart of British healthcare. But the privilege of that address has never felt like an endpoint to us. It has always felt like a responsibility.

From the very beginning, our founding director Dr Olena Edwards-Skadowska had a clear conviction: that the reach of high-quality mental health support should not be determined by a postcode or a bank balance. The Therapy Talent Hub is LTT’s answer to that conviction — and one of the initiatives we are most proud of.

“Privilege carries responsibility. Not every young person who needs us can afford a Harley Street appointment — and I have never been willing to let that be the end of the story.”

What Is the Therapy Talent Hub?

The Therapy Talent Hub is LTT’s dedicated initiative for nurturing emerging mental health professionals whilst simultaneously expanding access to therapeutic support for young people who have no means to obtain it elsewhere.

At its heart, it is built around two principles:

Access

Ensuring that young people in our community can receive therapeutic support, regardless of their background or financial circumstances. Too many of the young people who need mental health care most are the least likely to receive it. We intend to change that.

Belonging

Ensuring that emerging therapists — particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds — have a genuine pathway into the profession. Not just a qualification, but a community, a mentor, and a place to grow.

The mental health profession benefits enormously when its practitioners reflect the diversity of the communities they serve. We want to be part of making that happen.

What the Therapy Talent Hub Offers

Through the Therapy Talent Hub, LTT provides:

  • Clinical placements for trainee therapists in real-world, professionally supervised settings
  • Mentoring relationships that bridge the gap between completing training and practising with confidence and independence
  • Supervision to safeguard the quality and safety of early clinical work, and to support the continuing development of each trainee

This is not a commercial programme. It is our way of giving back — and of actively shaping the kind of profession we all wish we had entered.

Therapists for Schools: Our Partnership with William Morris Sixth Form

The first major initiative delivered through the Therapy Talent Hub is our Therapists for Schools programme, launched in partnership with William Morris Sixth Form College in the London Borough of Hounslow.

This partnership is deeply meaningful to us. Approximately 38% of students at William Morris Sixth Form live in households supported by school-sponsored lunches through the William Morris Trust — young people from some of the most economically disadvantaged families in the borough. A significant proportion come from Black, Asian, and Muslim communities who are historically underserved by mainstream mental health services, and for whom the barriers to accessing support — financial, cultural, and geographical — are very real indeed.

“Through our Therapists for Schools initiative, LTT provides free therapy to young people who need it most, delivered by trainee therapists whom we train, supervise, and mentor. This is a complete circle of care — from the emerging clinician to the young person in the room.”

The therapeutic support is delivered entirely free of charge to students. The trainee therapists who provide it are carefully selected, fully supervised by experienced LTT clinicians, and mentored throughout their placement. No student pays. No trainee is left unsupported.

Why This Matters

The mental health crisis among young people in the United Kingdom is well-documented and worsening. NHS waiting lists remain long. School counselling services are stretched. Private therapy is unaffordable for most families. The young people who carry the heaviest burdens are often the furthest from any door that might open for them.

At the same time, many newly qualified and trainee therapists find themselves in a profession where the pathway from training to independent, confident practice is uncertain — particularly for those who did not enter the field from positions of financial security or professional connection.

The Therapy Talent Hub addresses both of these realities at once. It creates supervised, meaningful clinical experience for emerging practitioners, and delivers real therapeutic benefit to young people who would otherwise receive none. That is not a coincidence — it is the design.

Could You Support the Next Generation?

The Therapy Talent Hub is made possible by the generosity and expertise of experienced practitioners who are willing to invest a small amount of time in someone earlier in their journey.

We are currently looking for volunteer mentors who can offer one pro bono supervision session per month to a trainee therapist working within our school placement programme. This is a small but genuinely transformative commitment — an hour of your expertise that will directly shape a young clinician’s practice and, through them, reach young people who would otherwise have no access to therapeutic support at all.

What matters most is your willingness to share your knowledge, your perspective, and your humanity with someone who is earlier in their professional journey.
