Why choose psychology at London Trusted Therapy?
Our multidisciplinary team includes clinical psychologists, counselling psychologists, educational psychologists and occupational psychologists, all working collaboratively so that you receive the right expertise at the right time. Where your needs cross disciplines — for example, a child who requires both a cognitive assessment and therapeutic support, or an adult who needs a workplace adjustment report alongside individual therapy — we coordinate your care seamlessly rather than sending you elsewhere.

Clinical Psychology
What clinical psychologists treat
Our clinical psychologists are trained to assess, diagnose and treat the full spectrum of psychological difficulties, from anxiety, depression and OCD to trauma, personality difficulties and psychosis. Clinical psychology goes beyond symptom management — it explores the origins and maintaining factors of psychological distress and uses that understanding to guide evidence-based treatment.
Our approach to clinical psychology
At London Trusted Therapy Harley Street, clinical psychology is available for adults, teenagers and children. Our clinical psychologists draw from a range of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), EMDR and psychodynamic formulation, selecting or integrating methods based on what will be most effective for you.
- You are experiencing persistent anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD or another mental health condition that has not responded to counselling alone
- You need a comprehensive psychological assessment or diagnostic formulation
- You are managing co-occurring conditions such as ADHD alongside anxiety, or autism alongside depression
- You have experienced complex trauma, childhood adversity or attachment difficulties
- You want a deeper psychological understanding of patterns that keep recurring in your life
Counselling Psychology
What is counselling psychology?
Counselling psychology places the therapeutic relationship at the heart of change. Our counselling psychologists are trained to doctoral level and regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), bringing the same rigour as clinical psychologists with a particular emphasis on subjective experience, personal meaning and the quality of the therapeutic alliance.
Who counselling psychology helps?
This approach is especially effective for individuals navigating life transitions, relationship difficulties, identity questions, grief, burnout, self-esteem struggles or the emotional impact of a new diagnosis such as ADHD or autism. At London Trusted Therapy Harley Street, our counselling psychologists work integratively, drawing on humanistic, psychodynamic, CBT and existential frameworks depending on what serves you best.
- You are going through a significant life change — career transition, relationship breakdown, bereavement or retirement
- You want to explore identity, self-worth or personal meaning in depth
- You have received an ADHD or autism diagnosis and need support adjusting to what it means for your life
- You are experiencing burnout, emotional exhaustion or a sense of being stuck
- You want a safe, collaborative space to work through difficulties at your own pace
Educational Psychology
What educational psychology assesses
Educational psychology focuses on how cognitive, emotional and developmental factors affect learning. Our educational psychologists conduct thorough assessments for children, teenagers and adults to identify specific learning differences including dyslexia, dyspraxia (developmental coordination disorder), dyscalculia and dysgraphia, as well as contributing to ADHD and autism diagnostic pathways.
Our assessment tools and standards
Every educational psychology assessment at London Trusted Therapy Harley Street uses standardised, nationally recognised instruments. For cognitive assessments, we use the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-V) or the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS-IV). For attainment and specific learning difficulties, we use the Wechsler Individual Achievement Test (WIAT-III) alongside qualitative observation and detailed developmental history. All reports are written to meet the requirements of the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ), SASC and EHCP applications where applicable.
- Your child is struggling academically and you suspect an underlying learning difference
- You need a formal report for exam access arrangements (JCQ/SASC compliant)
- You are an adult who has always found reading, writing or maths disproportionately difficult and want to understand why
- You need evidence for an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) application
- You want a cognitive profile assessment to understand your or your child’s unique learning strengths
Dyslexia assessment
Dyscalculia assessment
Assessment of mathematical reasoning, number sense and working memory to identify dyscalculia and recommend practical accommodations and learning strategies.

Occupational Psychology
What is occupational psychology?
Occupational psychology applies psychological science to the world of work. At London Trusted Therapy Harley Street, our occupational psychologists support individuals and organisations with workplace mental health, career transitions, burnout, performance concerns, reasonable adjustments for neurodivergent employees and return-to-work planning after illness or absence.
Who occupational psychology helps?
This is a service that very few private therapy practices in London offer — and none of our immediate competitors currently provide it. Whether you are an individual navigating ADHD in a demanding corporate role, a neurodivergent professional seeking a formal workplace needs assessment, or an employer wanting to create genuinely inclusive policies, our occupational psychologists bridge the gap between clinical insight and practical workplace strategy.
- You have ADHD or autism and need a formal workplace needs assessment for your employer
- You are experiencing workplace stress, burnout or conflict that is affecting your mental health
- You are returning to work after a period of mental health-related absence
- You are an employer seeking expert guidance on neurodiversity inclusion or mental health policy
- You want to understand how your psychological profile relates to your professional performance and satisfaction
