The emotional landscape of fertility treatment is unlike almost anything else. Hope and grief arrive simultaneously and repeatedly. The experience is physically demanding, relationally straining, and largely invisible to the outside world. At London Trusted Therapy, we offer specialist emotional support delivered with both clinical expertise and genuine human understanding.
Every practitioner at London Trusted Therapy holds substantial postgraduate training and professional accreditation, with a minimum of five years of clinical experience and an average of fifteen to twenty years across the team. Our practitioners include chartered and counselling psychologists, psychotherapists and counsellors accredited with the BACP, UKCP, COSRT and HCPC- all working under the clinical direction of Dr Olena Edwards-Skadowska, BACP Accredited Psychotherapist, MBPsS, FMBPsS, and actively practising clinician.
Dr Edwards-Skadowska is the recipient of the Outstanding Leadership Award for Services to Mental Health, presented at the Health 2.0 Global Conference 2024 — a recognition that reflects the values of excellence, integrity, and genuine clinical commitment that run through everything London Trusted Therapy does.

Fertility difficulties can trigger depression, anxiety, grief, and significant relationship strain. Where your needs extend beyond individual therapy, our multidisciplinary structure allows for internal cross-referral — to couples therapy, to psychiatry where mood or anxiety warrant clinical review, or to EMDR where previous pregnancy loss carries traumatic weight. Your care is joined up from the outset.
For fertility and IVF support, this means making space for the full range of what you are carrying — hope, grief, anger, guilt, and uncertainty — without rushing towards resolution. Psychodynamic and existential approaches provide a thoughtful, unhurried space in which to process the meaning of this experience and its impact on your sense of self and future. Mindfulness-based approaches support present-moment capacity in the midst of profound uncertainty. Where pregnancy loss has left traumatic injury, EMDR offers a compassionate and effective pathway to processing. Somatic approaches address the embodied grief that fertility difficulties so often produce. CBT and ACT are available where cognitive and acceptance-based tools would be helpful.
Should you feel that your first session did not meet your expectations or that your therapist wasn’t a good fit, we will provide another session completely free of charge with a different practitioner.
