Neurodiversity refers to the natural variation in how human brains are wired. At London Trusted Therapy, neurodiversity-affirming practice is at the very heart of who we are. Our founder, Dr Olena Edwards-Skadowska, is herself a late-identified neurodivergent person.

We offer comprehensive ADHD and autism assessments using gold-standard tools including QbCheck and ADOS-2. For neurodivergent individuals not seeking a formal diagnosis, we offer neurodiversity-affirming therapy for self-understanding, emotional regulation, relationships, and navigating daily life.
Neurodiversity-affirming practice is not a specialism we have added on — it is at the very heart of who we are. Our founder and Clinical Director, Dr Olena Edwards-Skadowska, is herself a late-identified neurodivergent person. This lived experience, combined with rigorous clinical training, shapes everything about the way our team approaches neurodivergent clients.
Every practitioner at London Trusted Therapy holds substantial postgraduate training and professional accreditation, with a minimum of five years of clinical experience and an average of fifteen to twenty years across the team. Our practitioners include chartered and counselling psychologists, psychotherapists and counsellors accredited with the BACP, UKCP, COSRT and HCPC- all working under the clinical direction of Dr Olena Edwards-Skadowska, BACP Accredited Psychotherapist, MBPsS, FMBPsS, and actively practising clinician.
Dr Edwards-Skadowska is the recipient of the Outstanding Leadership Award for Services to Mental Health, presented at the Health 2.0 Global Conference 2024 — a recognition that reflects the values of excellence, integrity, and genuine clinical commitment that run through everything London Trusted Therapy does.

Neurodivergent individuals frequently present with co-occurring anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, or emotional dysregulation. Our multidisciplinary structure allows for fully integrated care — including formal ADHD and autism assessments using gold-standard tools such as QbCheck and ADOS-2, internal cross-referral to psychiatry for diagnostic review or medication, and therapeutic support tailored to neurodivergent ways of processing the world. Everything is available within one practice, coordinated by a team that already knows you.
London Trusted Therapy is a holistic practice. We do not begin with a protocol and fit you to it — we begin with you.
For neurodivergent clients, this means therapy that genuinely adapts to how you think, feel, process, and communicate — not therapy that asks you to adapt to a neurotypical framework. Mindfulness-based approaches are offered in forms that work for neurodivergent minds. Somatic and body-based work supports emotional regulation in ways that connect with embodied neurodivergent experience. Psychodynamic and existential exploration helps make sense of a life that may have felt confusing, exhausting, or at odds with the world. ACT supports values-led living and psychological flexibility. CBT and DBT are integrated where structured skill-building is genuinely useful — adapted to neurodivergent learning styles throughout.
Should you feel that your first session did not meet your expectations or that your therapist wasn’t a good fit, we will provide another session completely free of charge with a different practitioner.
