Tina is a psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience. She has been successfully working with clients internationally in -person and online. She has worked within the NHS, various charities and a private practice offering front line support worldwide working with vulnerable people.
Tina was originally trained in the Psychodynamic approach, studying Psychoanalytic theory (Diploma) then going on to complete her (BAHons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy which gave her a broader understanding of other modalities that she incorporates in her practice – Attachment, CBT, Transpersonal and Existential. She went on to study Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy which she really enjoys utilising within her framework. She has also trained as a transformational inner child practitioner where she helps people to reconnect with their childhood/teen parts/other parts and truly rates this way of working.
Her journey as a psychotherapist started through her own body on her yoga mat. She believes finding yoga helped her to reconnect with her body and interpret physical sensations which she was able to link to early unprocessed trauma and difficult emotions. Being a qualified yoga practitioner also draws her to think about her clients holistically considering both mind and body . She can offer breathwork, mindfulness, Yoga Nidra (deep hypnotic rest) and trauma based grounding techniques which can be calming and help reconnect and regulate both body and mind.
Tina meets each client as a blank canvas looking beyond and outside the box of diagnosis. She is adaptogenic in that she can adapt her practice to what is being presented and what a client needs. She loves this way of working utilising different techniques, treating each person as an individual and meeting them with hope, acceptance and admiration on their therapeutic journey. Tina loves music, cats, cold water bathing, anything healing, travel, reading and learning.
