Dr. Tatiana Kazantseva is a depth-oriented psychotherapist with a rich and distinctive background that spans academic psychology, doctoral research, and over a decade of leadership in communications — before committing fully to the practice of psychotherapy. She brings to her clinical work a rare combination of intellectual rigour, cultural breadth, and an abiding curiosity about the inner life.
Tatiana trained at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE) in London, one of the UK’s most respected humanistic and integrative psychotherapy training institutes. Her approach is rooted in the body–mind connection and the language of the unconscious — working with dreams, active imagination, transference, and somatic experience to help clients access and understand parts of themselves that have long gone unheard. She is particularly drawn to working with individuals who experience a fragmented or uncertain sense of self, including those living with depersonalisation, derealisation, or Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID).
Tatiana’s doctoral research focused on the phenomenology of faith and belief formation — a subject that continues to inform her sensitivity to the deeper structures that shape how we understand ourselves and the world. Before entering the therapy room, she led communications strategies for organisations for over a decade, work in which her sociological and psychological understanding of human behaviour was applied at scale. This background gives her an unusually astute awareness of the social and relational dimensions of psychological life.
Alongside her clinical work, Tatiana is a committed practitioner of Chinese martial arts, regularly training in China and studying Mandarin. Her engagement with Eastern philosophies and approaches to wellbeing enriches her therapeutic perspective and reflects a lifelong commitment to integrating mind, body, and spirit. She is fluent in English, Russian, and French, and has a working knowledge of Mandarin — making her accessible to clients from a wide range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Tatiana currently works as a psychotherapist at Inner Ground Ltd and the CCPE clinic. Her broader clinical history includes roles at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, Home-Start Westminster, and The Caravan Drop-In and Counselling Service — giving her experience across NHS, community, and voluntary sector settings, with clients navigating a diverse range of life circumstances.
