Rebecca Myers London Trusted Therapy: Expert Individual and Couples Psychotherapist providing professional care for mental wellbeing.

About Rebecca

Rebecca Myers is an Integrative Psychotherapist who holds Master’s Degree in Contemporary Relationship Studies. She provides therapy for individuals, couples and families. This allows her to use a variety of approaches within her work (Person-Centred, CBT, Solution-Focussed and Transactional Analysis) to support her clients in achieving their goals in therapy.

Rebecca has significant experience working with neurodivergent individuals (both adults and children) in therapeutic and educational environment. She has worked with Speech and Language therapists, Occupational Therapists and Psychologists supporting their work and running interventions with adults and children.

She successfully utilises this experience within her therapy work paying careful attention to the clients’ needs – including adapting conversation styles and supporting with any sensory needs/ preferences the client has. Rebecca sees every client as an individual and tailors the approaches she uses so that they resonate with each client, thereby allowing them to engage with therapy on a deeper personal level.

Due to Rebecca’s experience, her main area of expertise lies in working with neurodivergent people and also coaching families through the process of diagnosis for their child (whether this is ASD or ADHD). She understands that this can be a difficult and fraught time where families need support to navigate the journey. She has a commitment to co-creating a safe environment for her clients so that they feel able to be themselves within therapy. Rebecca is also a trauma-informed practitioner within the school she works at as a part of the clinical team. Rebecca has undertaken several training courses relating to ASD/ ADHD (including training on ARFID).

Rebecca’s training is accredited by CoSRT and she is also registered with the BACP. Rebecca also has a BA in Psychology and Philosophy.

As part of her MA studies, Rebecca has been conducting ongoing research into how therapists work effectively with neurodivergent people . She hopes her research will contribute to creating a national training programme for therapists so the provision of therapy for neurodivergent people can be both increased and raised to a higher standard.

Rebecca is currently available for remote sessions with individuals and family coaching sessions relating to neurodivergence (including when a family member is going through a diagnosis).

Rebecca enjoys walking in nature, reading books and looking after her pets.
