Indu Dua London Trusted Therapy: Professional relational and trauma-informed Counsellor providing expert mental health and trauma support.

About Indu

Indu Dua is a relational and trauma-informed Counsellor with extensive experience supporting individuals and couples through a range of emotional and psychological challenges. With her integrative approach and understanding of cultural nuance, she believes deeply in empowerment through therapy.

She creates a safe, non-judgemental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Indu brings a gentle and warm approach, drawing on over ten years of experience in family coordination. Her strength-based approach provides compassionate, personalised care, recognising the uniqueness of each client’s experiences and challenges.

Indu supports individuals and couples navigating pregnancy, peri- or postnatal challenges, parenting difficulties, relationship issues, bereavement, and workplace stress. She works to build a collaborative, trusting therapeutic relationship where clients feel seen, heard, and understood.

Indu brings cultural competence and lived experience of Asian/Indian identity to her work, understanding how family expectations, intergenerational dynamics, and cultural stigma can shape emotional wellbeing. She holds space for clients to explore these layers without judgment and provides tailored support that respects each client’s unique personal, relational, and cultural context.

In addition to her psychotherapy practice, Indu transitioned from a rigid corporate environment to the voluntary sector, gaining experience working in a multicultural environment with perinatal teams, children’s services, and other multidisciplinary teams supporting families with children under five.

In her therapy work, Indu uses the following modalities:

  • Person-Centred Therapy: Focuses on the whole person, valuing their experiences and traits, and supporting self-discovery and personal growth.
  • Psychodynamic Therapy: Helps clients explore unconscious patterns, past experiences, and relational dynamics that influence current thoughts and behaviours.
  • Existential Therapy: Supports clients in clarifying values, meaning, and purpose to live an authentic life.
  • CBT & DBT: Combines practical tools with insight to manage thoughts, emotions, and behaviours effectively.
  • Solution-Focused Therapy: Emphasises goal-setting and actionable steps to create meaningful change.
  • Trauma-Informed & Relational Practice: Prioritises safety, trust, and emotional regulation, helping clients process trauma and build resilience.
